Dark Energy is a 2D adventure game is a hand crafted experience with a focus on interesting strategic ship to ship combat. Each combat encounter needs to be carefully considered and actions must be taken deliberately, not unlike games from the Soulslike genre. The story of the universe is subtly told through set pieces rather than cutscenes or dialogue. There is some minor RPG elements such as leveling up, but the focus is on gameplay.

The entire game is playable in coop with as many players as you like! Though more than like 3 total players will be quite unbalanced.

This game is lovingly made by a single developer as a hobby project.

The demo downloadable here is only playable in single player.
